Create Jobs and Hire Candidates with Recruitment

The Recruitment module enables you to manage your hiring pipeline effortlessly. You can create new jobs from scratch, duplicate existing roles within your business, or use an employee's profile as a template for a new hire.

Daily Activity: Getting Started with Hiring

  1. Define Your Process: Navigate to Recruitment > Hiring Processes to add and edit stages for different roles.

  2. Set Up Templates: Configure organization-wide templates under Settings > Recruitment & Onboarding for:

    • Emails: Standardize communication for offers and rejections.

    • Evaluations: Create scorecards for consistent interview feedback.

    • Screening Questions: Set up mandatory questions to filter candidates effectively.

  3. Customize Criteria: Tailor experience levels, candidate sources, and specific disqualification reasons.

  4. Manage Job Boards: Access the Job Boards tab within Recruitment to manage integrations and increase your reach across the Canadian market.

  5. Analytics: Use the Reports tab within Recruitment to monitor Candidate Flow, Time to Hire, and Candidate Source metrics.

Find the Best Talent with SmartMatch

SmartMatch is an AI-powered talent assistant that instantly connects your organization with top candidates sourced from EH Jobs whose skills, interests, and experience align with your requirements.

Key Features of SmartMatch:

  • Talent Suggestions: The dashboard highlights tailored candidate suggestions for the top roles in your organization based on live data.

  • Recommended Talent Panel: This slide-out panel allows you to view specific recommendations for a role. From here, you can contact a candidate, view their profile, shortlist them for a job, or save them for later.

  • Refine Search: Click the Refine Search button to add granular details. You can specify keywords (skills/qualifications), country (Canada), location, and a search radius (e.g., 50 km).

  • Interested Candidates: Access the Interested Candidates tab to see job seekers who have expressed interest in roles matching your company.

Daily Activity: Using SmartMatch

  1. Access SmartMatch: Click the SmartMatch button at the top part of your screen or navigate via the Recruitment menu.

  2. Dashboard Overview: View your current Talent Suggestions and see candidates who specifically want to work for you.

  3. Create a Talent Search: Click New Talent Search, enter the job title, country (Canada), and city. Here is an article about how to create a job opening in SmartMatch. 

  4. Evaluate Matches: In the Recommended Talent view, see if a candidate has an "Interested" tag, their distance, salary expectations, and when they were last active.

  5. Review Candidate Profiles: Click View Profile to see a summary of their work experience, education, skills, and certifications. You can also click 'View Resume' or 'Reveal Phone Number' for direct details.

  6. Direct Contact: Click the Contact button to reach out directly. You can select a specific job and use a pre-prepared email template to invite them to apply or schedule a call. Here is an article to learn more about notifications in SmartMatch. 

  7. Manage Talent Searches: The Talent Searches tab acts as your search hub, where you can view all dedicated searches you have started.

Important Information for Canada

  • Integrated Onboarding: Once a candidate is hired, their data flows directly into the Onboarding flow, allowing them to securely enter their Social Insurance Number (SIN) and banking details.

  • Suitability Feedback: Mark a candidate as Not Suitable to ensure they do not appear in your future recommendations for that specific role.

  • Digital Accuracy: Using EH Work for candidate interaction ensures accurate records and a seamless transition from applicant to employee.
