How to use the To-Do List Widget

Available for the following plans: Free, Standard, Premium, Platinum
Available for the following user access levels: Employee, Manager, Admin

Use the To-Do List to track and manage tasks. Depending on your role, you can review, approve, or reassign items to maintain workflow.

Managing Tasks

Create a task
  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard and select Create Task.
  2. Define the Name & Description.
  3. Select an Owner. (Note: Assigning a team creates individual tasks for each member.)
  4. Set the Assigned Date (notification date) and Due Date.
  5. Add Collaborators (available for Premium/Platinum plans only) or Subtasks if needed.
  6. Click Create.
Edit a task

Important

Only pending tasks can be edited.

  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard
  2. Click the three dots > View All Tasks.
  3. Click Action > Edit next to the task.
  4. Update details and click Save.
Re-assign a task

Warning

Creators can re-assign tasks they made; Admins and Owners can re-assign any task.

  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard.
  2. Click the three dots > View All Tasks.
  3. Click Action > Edit.
  4. In the Owner field, select the employee being re-assigned the task.
  5. Click Save.
Delete a task
  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard> Click the three dots > View All Tasks.
  2. Click Action > Delete and confirm.

Daily Activity

View a task in your To-Do List
  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard.
  2. Use the Filter bar and Features field to narrow results. Click Apply.
  3. Click a task to view its details in a pop-up.

This list includes policies, certifications, HR documents, leave requests, and performance reviews.

Download tasks as a CSV

Available for Admins only: 

  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard.
  2. Click the three dots > View All Tasks.
  3. Click the Download CSV button in the upper right corner.

Completing Tasks

Mark a task or subtask as complete

Creators can mark tasks complete on the owner's behalf.

  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard.
  2. Find the task and click on the link to view the task.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the task name or subtask item to mark it as completed.

Comments

Manage comments
  1. Navigate to the To Do List widget on your Dashboard.
  2. Find the task and click on the link to view the task.
  3. Add a comment: In the Activity field, type your comment and click the paper plane icon to save it
  4. Edit/Delete a comment: Click the three dots on your comment and select Edit or Delete.

External Inbox Assignment

Yes. You can assign tasks to external email addresses (e.g., for onboarding/offboarding), which triggers an email notification to that inbox.
