An authorizing signatory is an individual authorized to sign off on employee contracts and HR documents within your organization. This person is responsible for reviewing, signing, and sending the documents to the intended recipients. The Authorizing Signatory feature enables you to designate this role within your organization. It allows the nominated individual to input their signature on the Employment Hero platform. Additionally, you can assign employees with sending authority, enabling them to sign contracts on behalf of the authorizing signatory.
Important
Only one user can store their digital signature within the Employment Hero platform.
Daily activities
Warning
When you edit and then save a new authorizing signatory, the platform will remove your previously stored signatory.
- Go to Settings>Security & Access Control menu.
- Click the Authorizing Signatory submenu.
- Select an employee from the Authorizing Signatory field.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Settings menu.
- Click the E-signature set-up submenu.
- Create your e-signature and select who has the sending authority.
- Click the Upload button to import your existing signature.

Click the Save button.
Helpful Hint
The uploaded signature should be sized at 300 x 100 pixels. The Sending Authority field specifies who else can send documents on behalf of the authorizing signatory. Only the authorizing signatory can create the e-signature and assign the sending authority. Lastly, once assigned, the authorizing signatory will receive an email prompting them to create an e-signature.
Further Information
Currently, Employment Hero does not support the option to add two authorizing signatories to a letter.
