Edit and delete time off requests as an employee and contractor

Managing your time off requests helps keep your time away from work accurately logged while ensuring your manager and team stay informed.

With the My Time Off Requests feature, both employees and contractors can edit and delete requests as needed to reflect schedule changes. They can update details, attach documents, or remove a request entirely. This flexibility helps maintain clear communication and prevents issues with processed time off.

Important

This article assumes you as an employee or contractor can access the Actions button on your My Time Off Requests page. If the Actions button is not visible, you can neither edit nor delete your time off request and should contact your employer for assistance and/or approval. Employer approval is especially important if your time off has already been processed in a pay period.

Manage time off as an employee

Edit time off request
  1. Log into the Employment Hero platform. 
  2. Click the  Time menu.
  3. Under Time Off, click the My Time Off submenu.
  4. Find the time off request you want to edit.
  5. On the relevant row, click the Actions drop-down button.
  6. Click the Edit button.
     
  7. Make the required changes.
  8. (Optional) Click the Add document button and attach one or more files. (Make sure you only have one window logged into Employment Hero as this helps ensure the upload works correctly.)
  9. Click the Submit button.
     
Delete time off request
  1. Log into the Employment Hero platform. 
  2. Click the  Time menu.
  3. Under Time Off, click the My Time Off submenu.
  4. Click the Actions drop-down button.
  5. Click the Delete button.
     
  6. Click the Delete button.

Edit time off request
  1. Log into the Employment Hero HR platform. 
  2. Click the  Time menu.
  3. Under Time Off, click the My Time Off submenu.
  4. Click the Actions drop-down button.
  5. Click the Edit button.
     
  6. Make the required changes.
  7. (Optional) Click the Add document button and attach one or more files. (Make sure you only have one window logged into Employment Hero, as this helps ensure the upload works correctly.)
  8. Click the Submit button.
     
Delete time off request
  1. Log into the Employment Hero platform. 
  2. Click the  Time menu.
  3. Under Time Off, click the My Time Off submenu.
  4. Click the Actions drop-down button.
  5. Click the Delete button.
     
  6. Click the Delete button.
