In the Canadian Employment Operating System (EOS), security is integrated directly into your mobile experience. The Employment Hero (EH) Work app acts as a seamless two-factor authentication (2FA) tool, allowing you to bypass manual code entry by using the built-in EH Authenticator for instant login approval.
When enabled, you will receive a push notification on your mobile device whenever a login attempt is made. Simply tapping the notification allows you to authorize access securely and quickly.
1. Enrolling Your Device
Before you can use push notifications, you must link your EH Work app to your account.
Log into the Employment Hero web platform.
Select your Profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Select My Account.
Locate the Employment Hero Work Authenticator section and select Setup.
-
Scan the QR Code: Use your phone's camera to scan the code displayed on your screen.
If the EH Work app is installed, it will open automatically to complete the link.
If not, you will be directed to the App Store or Google Play Store to download it.
Follow the on-screen prompt in the app to confirm that this device will now act as your primary 2FA method.
Important: You must have an initial 2FA method already established (such as SMS or a standard authenticator app) before you can enroll the EH Work app as an additional method.
2. Authenticating Your Logins
Once enrolled, your daily login process becomes significantly faster.
Enter your email and password on the Employment Hero login page.
A message will appear on your browser stating that a push notification has been sent to your device.
Open the notification on your phone and select Yes, it's me.
Your web browser will automatically refresh and grant access to your dashboard.
3. Managing Enrolled Devices
If you upgrade your phone or lose a device, you must update your authenticator settings to maintain account security.
Removing a 2FA Device
Log into Employment Hero and navigate to My Account via your profile icon.
Under Employment Hero Work Authenticator, select Edit.
Locate the device you wish to remove and select Delete.
Select Save.
To authorize this security change, enter your account password when prompted and select Continue.
