How do I access return to work forms via HR?

A return to work form is used to ‌record ‌the reason for an employee's absence after returning from time off. A return to work form can also be used to make sure that the conditions for return are correct after a medical absence, or to keep an employee up-to-date on news while they were away. 

The return to work form is available within the time off module, so that employees and managers can easily access them upon return of the employee. This article will explain how to complete a return to work form and apply it to the time off management settings. 

Getting started

Add return to work form to time off type

You will need to add the return to work form to each appropriate time off type before proceeding.

  1. Log into Employment Hero.
  2. Select  General Settings.
  3. Select Time off Settings.
  4. Select Add Time off Type.
  5. Add the details of the time off type.
  6. Check the Return to work form checkbox.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Add additional details of the time off policy and click Save.
  9. Assign the time off type to the applicable employees.
  10. Click Save.
Complete a return to work form - Employee
  1. When your time off request has been accepted, log into Employment Hero.
  2. Select the Time menu.
  3. Select Time off.
  4. Select the Return to work form.
  5. Enter appropriate details regarding your return to work.
  6. Check the Declaration box, then select Submit Declaration.
Complete a return to work form - Manager
  1. Log into Employment Hero.
  2. Select the Time menu.
  3. Select Time off Management.
  4. Select the employee with the Return to Work form you would like to complete.
  5. Add notes and comments related to the form.
  6. View any relevant documents uploaded by the employee.
  7. Check the Declaration checkbox, then click Submit Declaration.
