Approve and decline recognition submissions

Available for the following plans: Employment Lite, Employment Plus, Employment Unlimited
Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum

Building a positive workplace culture involves acknowledging the hard work and dedication of your team members. The Recognition Management feature allows administrators to oversee commendations given to staff for going above and beyond their job descriptions. Each recognition is paired with a specific company value, reinforcing your organization's ideals across your Canadian workforce.

Administrators must first configure recognition settings before they can approve or decline individual suggestions. Once approved, certificates can be downloaded to celebrate these achievements.

Important: Hero Points Warning

Warning: If your organization has enabled Hero Points as a reward for recognition, please be aware that once a commendation is approved, these points cannot be reversed or cancelled.

Getting started

Administrators serve as the final reviewers for all recognition suggestions submitted by team members.

Approve recognition
  1. Navigate to the Engagement menu on the left-hand primary sidebar.
  2. Click the Recognition Management submenu.
  3. Locate the recognition request and click the View button.
  4. Review the details and click the Approve button.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Got It to confirm the approval.
Decline recognition
  1. Navigate to Engagement > Recognition Management.
  2. Locate the recognition request and click the View button.
  3. Click the Decline button.
  4. Type in a specific reason for declining the recognition.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Got It to confirm.

Use filtering and detail views to track how recognition is being utilized across your Canadian locations.

Filtering and reviewing recognition records
  1. Go to Engagement > Recognition Management.
  2. Use the following fields to customize the list:
    • Show terminated employees: Toggle to include departed staff.
    • Employee: Search for a specific recipient.
    • Company value: Filter by specific ideals (e.g., "Customer Obsessed").
    • Date range: View commendations from a specific timeframe.
    • Status: Filter by Pending, Approved, or Declined.
  3. Click the Filter button to refresh the list.
Viewing details and certificates
  1. Navigate to Engagement > Recognition Management.
  2. Locate the relevant record and click the Actions button.
  3. Select from the following:

    • View Details: Display the full recognition message and associated value.
    • Download Certificate: Generate a digital certificate for the employee.

    Note: Certificates can only be downloaded for APPROVED records.
