Access and use my organization Chart

An organization chart helps your business understand reporting lines, manage team structures, and support workforce planning.

With Employment Hero's Organization Chart feature, you can view and print team hierarchies, view detailed personnel files, and access SmartMatch recommendations for certain roles. This helps ensure employees, managers, and admins alike have clear visibility on individuals in the business and where they are placed in the organizational structure.

Manage data

View and print the reporting line
  1. Click the People menu, then select Organization Chart from the submenu.
  2. Now you are on the Organization Chart page, click the Select Employee... search bar.
  3. In the drop-down menu, select the name of the staff member whose organization chart you want to view and print.
  4. The selected individual will now appear in a box on the Organization Chart. Click the drop-down button at the bottom of their box. (This is how you view employees in their reporting line, if applicable.)
  5. If you want to view more reporting lines, continue by clicking other drop-down buttons that should be visible on other entries in the chart.
  6. When you are satisfied with the reporting lines shown in the Organization Chart, click the print ( ) button.
     
View an employee's personnel file
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Organization Chart submenu.
  3. Click the Select Employee... search field, then select the individual from the drop-down.
  4. On the Organization Chart, click the button at the top of the individual's box.
  5. View the pop-up window that will now appear.
  6. Click the 'View personnel file' button.
  7. View the personnel file that will now appear in your browser.
     
View SmartMatch candidate recommendation
  1. Click the  People menu.
  2. Click the Organization Chart submenu.
  3. Click the button for the employee role you want to check. 
  4. On the employee file pop-up window, refer to the Recommended Talent section and scroll down. If there is talent to display, one or more individuals recommended by SmartMatch will appear here.

An employee's manager dictates their placement in the Organization Chart. Troubleshooting

Employee is not showing in the Organization Chart
Currently, our organization chart feature will only show employees when their start date is in the past. Therefore, it is worth checking that the employee's start date is in the past, rather than the future. To change an employee's start date, see this article.
