Submit my daily start and end hours based timesheets

Available for the following plans: Employment Lite, Employment Plus, Employment Unlimited
Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum
Available for the following user access levels: Employee

As an employee who wants to track their start and end times for work, you will need to submit daily start and end time-based timesheets. This allows your manager to review your hours and breaks, compare them to your contracted hours, and approve your compensation accordingly.

With the My Daily Start and End Time-Based Timesheets feature, you can log your start and end times, record breaks, and add comments. You can also edit or delete entries if needed.

Helpful Hint

To use this timesheet type, you need to enable Start and End Times based on Daily Entries. To read further details on how to enable this timesheet type, refer to this article.

Manage data

Add my start and end times
  1. Click the Schedule menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Add new timesheet button.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Employee

    • Date

    • Start time

    • End time

    • Work Site

    • Position

    • Break (Add Break start and Break end)

    • Comment (Optional)

  5. Add a comment if required.
  6. Click the Save button.
     

Maintain data

Filter my timesheets
  1. Click the Schedule menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Complete the Start Date Range field
  4. Complete the Ending Date Range field.
  5. Click the Search button.
     
View my submitted timesheet

Important

The ability to view a timesheet is only available if payroll has processed the timesheet. To see the payroll status of the timesheet, use the Clock symbol to see the payroll status of the timesheet. You can also learn more about the clock symbol by referring to the 'Definitions: Symbols' part of this article's Further Information section.

  1. Click the Schedule menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Actions button.
  4. Click the View button.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see the details of your timesheet on your screen.

Edit my start and end times

Important

The ability to edit a timesheet is only available if payroll has processed the timesheet. To see the payroll status of the timesheet, use the Clock symbol to see the payroll status of the timesheet. You can also learn more about the clock symbol by referring to the 'Definitions: Symbols' part of this article's Further Information section.

  1. Click the   Schedule menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Make the required changes and click the Update button.
     
Delete my timesheet

Important

The ability to delete a timesheet is only available if payroll has not processed the timesheet. To see the payroll status of the timesheet, use the Clock symbol to see the payroll status of the timesheet. You can also learn more about the clock symbol by referring to the 'Definitions: Symbols' part of this article's Further Information section.

  1. Click the   Schedule menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the Delete button.
     
     

Further information

Definitions: Timesheet status
Pending A manager needs to approve the timesheet.
Approved A manager has approved the timesheet.
Declined A manager has rejected the timesheet.
Definitions: Clock messages
Created at Provides a timestamp of the timesheet creation date
Synced at Provides a timestamp of when the timesheet tried to sync with Employment Hero Payroll.
Sync successful Determines whether the synchronization of the timesheet between Employment Hero and Employment Hero Payroll has been successful.
Edited at Provides a timestamp of the last edit done to the timesheet after a previous Employment Hero Payroll synchronization attempt.
Definitions: Symbols
Icon Name  Description
Blue clock Used for approved, pending, or declined timesheets that have not synchronized with Employment Hero Payroll.
Green clock Used for approved timesheets that have synchronized with Employment Hero Payroll.
Red clock Used for approved timesheets that have not synchronized with Employment Hero Payroll.
Orange clock Used for pending, approved, or declined timesheets that have had changes made to them after being synchronized with Employment Hero Payroll.
Message The employer has left a note regarding this timesheet.
