Keep your organizational details current by updating your primary entity’s Name and CRA Business Number within Company Settings. Ensuring this information is accurate is essential for maintaining compliant payroll records and seamless provincial or federal filings.
Follow the steps below to modify your entity details.
Important Note
Multi-entity management, including adding, disabling, or transferring employees between entities, is currently unavailable on the Canadian platform.
This feature allows you to update the name and business number (CRA Number) of your primary employing entity.
Update Your Employing Entity Details
Navigate to Settings > Company Settings > Employing Entities.
Click Actions > Edit Entity.
Update the Name and Business Number, then click Save.
Helpful Hint
The Business Number, also known as the Company Registration Number, is an eight-number long code. However, if your number does not have eight digits, add leading zeros to make sure it saves successfully.
